Daylife Las Vegas

Party animals lamented when pool season ended, fearing the worst: that Las Vegas may not be a 24/ 7 party city again until spring. Just because pool season is over doesn’t mean it’s time to stop partying during the afternoon and N9ne Group’s GBDC and Tao Group’s Lavo Champagne Brunch pioneer the next generation of daylife, keeping the party going all winter long. Dayclubs have become all the rage in New York, which is what inspired the trend in Las Vegas, starting with Lavo replicating its successful New York daytime party at is Las Vegas location.

As soon as the news broke that Lavo would be continuing the daytime fun through the winter with the concept that worked so well in New York, N9ne Group quickly followed suit by opening ghostbar up during the day with the rebranded image of GBDC. Lavo Champagne Brunch Saturdays had a wildly successful opening, an event that Robin Leach called “Insane like Ibiza” and “Sassy like St. Tropez.” Among the celebrity faces at the opening were reality stars Holly Madison and Josh Strickland from Peepshow at Planet Hollywood.

The following week, GBDC had a tremendously successful “Grandiose Opening” at The Palms Resort and Casino. GBDC took the idea of an indoors daytime party and made it their own, bringing fun, casual, and whimsical touches to the often austere world of Vegas clubs, with piñatas for bottle service guests, high-end beer bongs, and “forties” that are wrapped in brown paper bags, albeit with a GBDC label.

Daylife in Vegas offers something completely different than these same venues do by night, bringing something new to the Strip, which, when you consider the profusion and oversaturation of every conceivable form of entertainment, is truly profound. Las Vegas locals and tourists alike have fallen in love with the indoor dayclub parties, which gives us the sense that these parties are here to stay and that there will be many more to follow.
