On November 12, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao will face off against Juan Manuel Marquez for the third time at the Grand Garden Arena at MGM Grand in what promises to be one of the great historic sporting events seen in Las Vegas.  Tensions are high, as there is a lot riding on the finale to this trilogy of fights for both Pacquiao and Marquez, with both the outcome of their original fight in 2004 and their rematch in 2008 unsatisfactory to Marquez and the fans who believe he won in both instances.

For Pacquiao, a third win will cement the veracity of his first two wins and dispel any questions as to whether or not they were rightful wins, and for Marquez, nothing could be more important.  Marquez emphasized the importance of the third fight between the two; “Now it’s time to shed doubt over who the best fighter is.  I want to win this fight because I believe I won the first two fights.”

While you are in town for the fight, don’t miss out on all of the post-fight excitement that Sin City has to offer, with a wide variety of celebrations around town, no matter who is the victor.  The House of Blues at Mandalay Bay is hosting The Official Manny Pacquiao After Party, Crazy Horse III is hosting an after-party, and at nextdoor Posh, Bree Olson, the ex-“goddess” of Charlie Sheen will be partying until the early hours of the morning as part of their festivities.

The weigh-in, at which both fighters must be under 144 pounds, will occur on 11-11-11, a day that many believe to be a lucky day; who the day will prove to be lucky for will be decided on Saturday, as Pacquiao defends his WBO Welterweight Crown.  The excitement in Sin City leading up to what is certain to be a legendary fight is palpable and the air is buzzing with the anticipation of sports history in the making.
